हमारे लिए रिफॉर्म का मतलब है, रिफॉर्म नीति आधारित हो, टुकड़ों में नहीं हो, Hollistic हो और एक रिफॉर्म, दूसरे रिफॉर्म का आधार बने, नए रिफॉर्म का मार्ग बनाए और ऐसा भी नहीं है कि एक बार रिफॉर्म करके रुक गए। ये निरंतर, सतत चलने वाली प्रक्रिया है।

एक दौर था जब हमारे यहां रिफॉर्म्स की बहुत बातें होती थीं। कभी मजबूरी में कुछ फैसले लिए जाते थे, कभी दबाव में कुछ फैसले हो जाते थे, तो उन्हें रिफॉर्म कह दिया जाता था। इस कारण इच्छित परिणाम नहीं मिलते थे। अब ये सोच और अप्रोच, दोनों बदल गई है।

केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड (सीबीडीटी) ने हाल के वर्षों में प्रत्यक्ष करों में कई प्रमुख या बड़े कर सुधार लागू किए हैं। पिछले वर्ष कॉरपोरेट टैक्स की दर को 30 फीसदी से घटाकर 22 फीसदी कर दिया गया एवं नई विनिर्माण इकाइयों के लिए इस दर को और भी अधिक घटाकर 15 फीसदी कर दिया गया। 'लाभांश वितरण कर' को भी हटा दिया गया।

কেন্দ্রীয় প্রত্যক্ষ ট্যাক্স বোর্ড (সিবিডিটি) সাম্প্রতিক বছরগুলিতে প্রত্যক্ষ করের ক্ষেত্রে বেশ কয়েকটি বড় বা বড় কর সংস্কার বাস্তবায়ন করেছে। গত বছর কর্পোরেট করের হার 30 শতাংশ থেকে কমিয়ে 22 শতাংশ করা হয়েছিল এবং নতুন উত্পাদনকারী ইউনিটের জন্য এই হার আরও 15 শতাংশে নামিয়ে আনা হয়েছে। 'লভ্যাংশ বিতরণ কর'ও সরানো হয়েছিল।
